Range Master Go-light

$499.00

The range master go-light is simple to use and fully automatic. The wireless remote control only has 2 buttons. One toggles the light between red and green, the other puts the light in standby mode which drops the electricity to the lights. The go-light will operate in two different modes. When in automatic mode, the go-light will turn green when the range master pushes the button on the remote. When the rider engages the course and starts the timer, the light automatically turns red. This relieves the range master from having to remember to turn the light back to red at some point before the next rider enters the arena. The go-light can be changed back to red at any time by pushing the remote button. This will allow the light to be used manually when no timing device is used, or if the Rangemaster sees a reason to change the light back to red such as missed balloon setter in the arena. The light will work with the popular FarmTek timers. The go-light has an infrared receiver that looks for the FarmTek transmitter. When the transmitter can not be seen by the go-light (such as when a horse breaks the light beam) the light will go to red. The go-light does not hook up to or interface with the timer in any way. The light and timer operate independently from each other. The go-light has a wireless transmitter that has an advertised range of 250 feet. However, I have tuned the transmitter and receiver and can go much further than 250 feet. I was easily able to change the light from the opposite end of Millers Arena. I was also told that a Rangemaster went to the restroom and was able to change the light while in the restroom. Needless to say, the range is more than sufficient for cowboy mounted shooting. The transmitter uses rolling code technology. That means that the code used to change the light is changed each time the button is pressed. This will keep other remote controls from interfering with each other or some mischievousness from occurring.
